Scouts are an active section of young people who take part in learning new skills. Scouting enables young people to gain friendships that last a lifetime through fun adventures, exploring the world around them and helping their community. Scouts meet as a Troop and work in small groups called patrols and lead by a Patrol leader.
Scouts work towards Challenge awards that culminate in the Chief Scouts Gold Award. Scouts also have the opportunity to earn a wide range of activity badges.
After approximately 6 weeks of attending Scouts, your child will be ‘Invested’. This involves the Scout getting their uniform and taking part in a small ceremony where they will make their promise.
