What do Scouts do?

Scouts are an active section of young people who take part in learning new skills. Scouting enables young people to gain friendships that last a lifetime through fun adventures, exploring the world around them and helping their community. Scouts meet as a Troop and work in small groups called patrols and lead by a Patrol leader.
Scouts work towards Challenge awards that culminate in the Chief Scouts Gold Award. Scouts also have the opportunity to earn a wide range of activity badges.

What uniform do Scouts wear?

After approximately 6 weeks of attending Scouts, your child will be ‘Invested’. This involves the Scout getting their uniform and taking part in a small ceremony where they will make their promise. They will require a green smart shirt (purchased from The Scout Store), a burgundy 4th Littlehampton Scout Group t-shirt (purchased from Felix Dance Wear, Beach Road, Littlehampton) and a group scarf (purchased from the Scout group on the night of investiture).

Also, Scouts are encouraged to purchase a burgundy, 4th Littlehampton Scout Group hoodie from Felix Dance Wear (Beach Road, Littlehampton).

What is the cost of Scouts?

The cost of Scouts is £40 per school term plus the cost of trips, sleepovers, camps and uniform.
